Busy busy week

Tutorials, presentations, workshops, assignment (not one word written yet)...arrrgh!! 
My weekend this week is the busiest I've been.

I checked my timetable, and it says something about a field trip, that's new.

I'm struggling with my calculations right now. 
This morning, I thought I skipped a lecture, turns out there was no lecture to skip because the lecture was cancelled. HA!! 

I ate an expired cake just now. But it smells ok....sooo I guess I can still eat it right?

I hate that I missed out on Linkin Park's concert which was on Monday. We really had the intention to go at first...but then somehow..we didn't.

My friend said she wanted to come visit me in my uni this Sunday. I wonder if she'll cancel her plans at the last minute again. Hmmmm.....

Anyways, I've got to get up at 7.ooAM tomorrow. But recently I can't sleep...really can't sleep because I'm always thinking and worrying and imagining different scenarios in my head. Sigh.

MY GOD!! My housemate's birthday is on Monday and she's asking me to put on make up!! WHAT THE HELL?! I DO NOT PUT ON MAKE UP!!! NEVER!!! 

I feel super uncomfortable with make up on.

I've gotta go now. Bye.

I saw......

I did not take this picture. My uncle did. But I was not even there. I just saw this limo before.

      A humvee limo!! My uncle said there's probably a swimming pool inside the limo. How awesome would it be to ride in this!!!!

I miss him so much.

   I went downstairs one day ( during my holiday) and I saw my dog sitting on the dining table. Maybe he likes the view from there. He's such a funny dog!! :)

                WRONG!!

            It's pronounced as " fish ".

             WEIRD HUH?

Allow me to explain

" Ghoti " is a constructed word used to illustrate irregularities in English spelling.

The "gh" as in rough.
The " o " as in women.
The " ti " as in caption. 

Therefore-------FISH!!!  

 

Expectations, reality

       When I was 17.......

         University seemed like a future so far away I could never reach it.

 I imagined life in uni to be like what is so often portrayed in films....fun, crazy!! 

I imagined the lecturers writing complicated equations on a blackboard, students copying furiously...students constantly asking intelligent questions. I imagined I would be sitting in a lecture hall. 

 

 

 

   NOW THAT I'M 20.......

I'm taking a Pharmacy course and there are only 30 something students in my batch. Sooo...we have our own little tutorial room. We have never been to a huge lecture hall for any of our lectures. And the lecturers hardly ever use the whiteboard.

We print our lecture notes and the lecturers use a projector to show us our notes. There is no " copying furiously " because..well, it's all in the notes.
So we just listen. And some lecturers just read from our notes....erm...we know how to read.

And we are almost always in that same small room. Boring!

Technology has taken over. Nowadays, there are lectures online, we check our timetable through email, we search for lecture notes on the uni website, we can even renew our book loans online. My laptop is my new best friend.

 

 Assignments...search for journals and articles online.

quizzes....online!!!

We have it way easy nowadays. 

Oh..and this reminds me...I have an essay to write on human psychology and a presentation to prepare. AND here I am blogging. What am I doing with my life?!

My second blog!!

 I created this blog at 2:06AM. I didn't name my first blog Random thoughts of a Night Owl for nothing. I am indeed a night owl. 

Right now, my roommate is sleeping. Yes, I have a roommate now. I'm in university. Away from home. I really miss home. REALLY. 

The internet here is shitty. It's so slow I've been looking at half loaded images and waiting for youtube videos to load for a few months now. I mean...the rental is RM500 per month. And...I have to walk up and down SO many flight of stairs before I can reach my room. I stay on the fifth floor. It's a walk-up apartment.

AND...if I want to have my laundry done I have to walk down countless stairs carrying my dirty clothes for the week to get to the coin-operated washing machines downstairs. Because of that..I now have a bag full of coins.

It's so hot in my room. Sometimes, mosquitoes come to visit. Oh they really love me!!

I've never walked so much in my life!! I walk to my university everyday.

BUT....this experience is good for me. Toughens me up. And all the walking is good exercise. I don't get tired easily anymore.

When I was at home...all I ever did was watch television and surf the Internet. Sitting down...couch potato. I was soooooooooo lazy.
